Terribly Shocking! Michael Jackson died due to a lethal dose of propofol administered by Murray.

On June 25, 2009, only weeks after hiring Murray, Michael Jackson died due to a lethal dose of propofol administered by Murray.

Court documents released in August 2009 revealed that the coroner's preliminary conclusion indicated that Jackson overdosed on propofol. However, the coroner's office declined to comment on reports claiming that the death was ruled a homicide.

Several offices of doctors who were believed to have treated Jackson were searched. Based on the autopsy and toxicology findings, the cause of Jackson's death was determined to be acute propofol intoxication with a contributory benzodiazepine effect and the manner of death to be a homicide, eventually, so that the focus of the investigation shifted toward Murray. He admitted administering 25 mg of propofol intravenously, for insomnia, on the night of Jackson's death.

He claimed that he tried treating him with other drugs and that he only administered the propofol after Jackson insisted, according to a police affidavit. Murray said he worried that Jackson had become dependent on the drug as a sleep aid, and was trying to wean him from it.

Propofol is usually given in a hospital or a clinical setting with close monitoring, mostly used for general anesthesia during surgery. It is not indicated or approved as a sleep aid and is administered only by anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists or anesthesia assistants who have extensive training in the use and monitoring of anesthetics. Any FDA approved drug can be used off-label. Murray did not have any such training.

In February 2011, Murray was formally charged with involuntary manslaughter. On September 27, 2011, Murray went on trial in Los Angeles and was convicted of involuntary manslaughter on November 7, 2011.

His bail was revoked and he was remanded to custody pending his November 29 sentencing date. He received the maximum penalty of four years in prison. His Texas medical license was revoked, and his California and Nevada licenses were suspended. After serving two years, Murray was released on parole on October 28, 2013.

Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Murray in 2010 but dropped it in 2012. Also in 2010, Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, and three children, filed a separate wrongful death suit against AEG, claiming that the company was negligent in hiring Murray; the jury ruled in favor of AEG in 2013.

In 2016, Inside Edition reported that Murray was "still visiting patients," although Murray claimed that he does not charge patients anything for his services, that he is only "providing a consultation" without prescribing medication, and that therefore he "is not breaking the law".

Shocking!!! Meet the YANOMAMI TRIBE BURY THEIR DEAD BY EATING THEIR FLESH

There are so many bizarre cultures in the world so difficult to understand but still interesting enough to capture the interest of other people in its controversy.

The Yanomami tribe in South America are also known as Yanam or Senema are found in Venezuela and parts of Brazil.

This tribe is not easily influenced by modernization or westernisation but rather still practice their culture.

This tribe has a weird burial ritual akin to cannibalism called Endocannibalism. Endocannibalism is the practice of eating the flesh of a dead person from the same community, tribe or society.

The Yanomami are a native tribe that believe that the soul needs to be protected after the body dies. They believe that the soul can only rest properly and make its transition only when the body has been burned and the body eaten by the living relatives.

Unlike the conventional burial ceremony of interment, this native Indian tribe burn the body of the dead person and paint their faces with the grime from the burnt body. They sing and cry to express their grief over the loss of the relative.

In the second phase of the burial, they gather the bones remaining from burning the bodies and turn them into powder mixing it with the ashes from the burnt bodies.

They mix this into banana which is used to make banana soup, a local delicacy common to this tribe and give it to everybody to eat.

They believe that completing this burial ritual is the only way the soul can attain eternal peace.

But in a case where an enemy kills the relative or village member, only the women eat the ashes and after then a form of revenge is exacted on the culprits however the ceremony is done on the same night the villagers are to revenge through perhaps a raid on the enemy territory.

Terrible!!! Alocal court in Maharashtra’s Kolhapur has awarded a death sentence to a 35-year-old labourer for killing his mother and frying her organs before eating them.

Death sentence for Maharashtra man who killed mother, fried and ate her body parts

A local court in Maharashtra's Kolhapur has awarded death sentence to a man for murdering his mother and eviscerating her body with intention to eat the body parts.

Alocal court in Maharashtra’s Kolhapur has awarded a death sentence to a 35-year-old labourer for killing his mother and frying her organs before eating them. The court said that his crime fell in the rarest of rare cases because of its diabolic nature.

Additional Sessions Judge of Kolhapur Mahesh Krishnaji Jadhav sentenced Sunil Rama Kuchkoravi to be hanged by the neck till he is dead for offence of murder, subject to confirmation by the Bombay High Court.

The judge observed that the incident had shaken the "collective conscience of the society". The court further opined that not only was there a murder, but it was associated with "extreme brutality and shamelessness".

The judge also observed that from the conduct of the accused post the act, there was no repentance or remorse.

The court said, "The pain which she [the mother] had experienced cannot be explained in words. He has committed the offence in order to satisfy his lust for liquor. He forcibly eliminated the life of his helpless mother, which is the ultimate insult of motherhood."

THE CASE

Sunil Rama Kuchkoravi killed his mother in August 2017. Soon after the murder, a child in Kuchkoravi's neighbourhood saw him standing near his mother's dead body, covered in blood stains. Due to the child’s hue and cry, people in the vicinity called the police.

Police Inspector Bhausaheb Malgunde, who reached the spot for prima facie inspection, saw the body lying in a pool of blood with organs eviscerated outside. Malgunde saw that the mother’s heart was on a platter while a few other organs eviscerated were on an oil tin.

Malgunde had to rescue Kuchkoravi from the angry mob gathered outside the house.

EVIDENCE IN THE CASE

According to the prosecution, Kuchkoravi was addicted to alcohol. His wife had deserted him as he used to beat her up. He lived with his mother who provided him with food. But he always quarreled with her as he demanded her pension to feed his liquor addiction.

The judge noted that there were no eye-witnesses to the crime, so the prosecution's case was based on circumstantial evidences.

Kuchkoravi and his mother were last seen together prior to her death and she was in his exclusive custody. Kuchkoravi was also found quarrelling before the incident. Additionally, weapons used in the crime were recovered from the spot where only Kuchkoravi was present. Blood stains on Kuchkoravi's clothes also matched his mother's blood.

Kuchkoravi's Advocate VD Lambhore took the defence of intoxication stating that the accused was an alcohol addict and that his medical certificate was missing. Lambhore also pleaded insanity defence.

However, the judge noted that the accused had failed to establish his defence that he was intoxicated at the time of the incident or was administered alcohol by someone without his knowledge.

The court also noted Kuchkoravi's conduct preceding, during and following the crime and concluded that the accused could not be granted the general exception of insanity.

The court considered the mitigating factors including the fact that Kuchkoravi had no antecedents and there was no material to show that alternate punishment will not meet ends of justice or reform him.

However, the Court concluded that "if the balance sheet is drawn of mitigating and aggravating factors and maximum weightage is given to the only mitigating factors even then the aggravating factors far outweigh the balance".

The Judge concluded that Kuchkoravi had committed cold-blooded murder and awarded the death sentence to him.

So shocking!!! Roadside chef dubbed super hands thanks to his ability to dip bare hands into boiling oil unscathed

An Indian street chef has been dubbed super hands – thanks to his ability to dip his hands into boiling hot oil unscathed.

Ram Babu regularly attracts hordes of spectators, who come to see his astonishing ability.

The 60-year-old snack seller can bury his bare hands into searing cooking oil heated up to 200C for frying fritters.

He boasts: “People from far away come to see me frying pakoras without burning my hands. I have been doing this for more than forty years but have never suffered blisters or any burn injury.”

When Babu – who fries potato and eggplant wedges at his roadside stall in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh – started selling the deep-fried food to make ends meet at the age of just 20, he never thought his small snack stall would see such a large turnout.

But as the demand grew, Babu stopped using apparatus to save time – opting to spoon them out with his hands.

Babu said: “Using the heavy spatula was time consuming. One day, there was a throng of customers at the shop and I had no helping hand.

“In panic, I mistakenly put my bare hands to take out fries. Before I could realise, my hands were there deep into the pan of bubbling oil. I immediately took my hands out expecting blisters covering my hand but surprisingly there was nothing.

“Ever since that day I decided to not use spatula. I have never been hurt, it feels as if I am putting my hands in water.”

Babu, who sells over a hundred kilograms of fries each day and makes around £20, added: “People go bonkers seeing me doing this, they keep asking if I have done some magic – but I simply smile and say this is all God’s magic.”

Over the years, Babu has earned a bevy of customers and a huge fan following over the years, who travel from across the capital region to sample his crispy fries

Amit Singh who is a frequent customer at Babu’s stall said: “It really surprises me when I see him pulling out the fritters straight out of the pan. One has to see to believe him doing this.

“I can never think of even touching that boiling oil but he astonishingly takes out crispy pakoras as if they have been fried in cold water. And the fritters taste really good.”

And just like his customers, Babu’s unique ability has also left doctors baffled.

He says: “As my popularity grew, several doctors approached me for research. Many took the sample of my skin, but none found anything unusual. I do not know why I am like this but as long as I am unhurt and my ability helps me make money, I will happily fry fritters with my hands.”

Shocking!!! A tribe called Papuan cares for 250-year-old mummy to preserve ancient rite

WAMENA, Indonesia Cradling the centuries-old mummy of his ancestor, tribe leader Eli Mabel lays bare an ancient tradition that has all but vanished among the Dani people in the Papuan central highlands.

The shrunken, blackened figure he carries was Agat Mamete Mabel, a chieftain who ruled over this remote village in Indonesian Papua about 250 years ago.

He was embalmed and preserved with smoke and animal oil after his death, an honour reserved only for important elders and local heroes among the Dani.

Nine generations on and his descendent Eli Mabel is the chieftain in Wogi village – an isolated hamlet outside Wamena that can be reached only by hiking and canoe.

He said the

exact age of Agat Mamete Mabel was not known, but he was the last of the village to receive such a funeral. Once common among his forebears, the ritual method of smoke embalming is no longer practised.

Christian missionaries and Muslim preachers encouraged the tribespeople to bury the corpses, and the tradition faded as the centuries passed.

But Mr Mabel wants to retain the ancient rites and rituals for future generations.

“We must protect our culture, including the ceremonies for the mummy, the way we treat it, and maintain and fire for it,” he said.

The mummy, decorated with pig tusks slung around the torso, a feathered headpiece and traditional penis gourd, rests in a hut known as a “honai”.

This wide domed thatched hut is tended year round by a select few villagers who keep a fire burning to ensure the corpse remains dry and preserved.

Mr Mabel said the duty of caring for the mummy often falls to him. He has spent many nights sleeping alone in the honai, ensuring no harm befalls his ancestor.

Eventually, the duty of caring for the mummy will be passed to others. Mr Mabel hopes his four children will bear some responsibility for keeping their customs alive, but some of them live in far-off provinces in Indonesia’s more populated centres.

“I have told them they must take care of the mummy at some point in their lives,” he said.

The ancient Dani tribes in Indonesia’s half of the island of New Guinea were cut off from the outside world until well into the 20th century. Their homeland in the Baliem Valley was isolated by steep, rugged valleys and dense highland forest.

Today, the region remains one of the poorest in Indonesia. Many tribes rely on tourism, attracting visitors to their remote villages with their unique customs, traditional dress and rituals.

Shocking!!! He offered me N10,000 to kill his pregnant wife – Man confesses in Ogun

A 29-year-old man identified as Adeniyi Samuel has recounted to police how one Wasiu Eluyera offered him N10,000 to kill his pregnant wife, Newspremises reports.

The 35-year-old was allegedly trying to get rid of the woman in order to keep the pregnancy from his new wife.

Police said the duo were arrested following a distress call received by the DPO of Ogijo divisional headquarters, Ogun State, from concerned members of the public on January 1, 2022.

Ogun Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the police were informed that the two men had engaged each other in serious physical combat at Oponuwa area of Ogijo as residents feared they might get injured.

The DPO of the Ogijo Division, CSP Muhammed Baba, had mobilised his men to the scene, where the two suspects were arrested.

“It was during interrogation to know the cause of the fight that Adeniyi Samuel opened up and informed the police that Eluyera Wasiu contracted him to kill his pregnant wife, one Bola Taiwo.

“He stated further that Eluyera Wasiu promised to give him N10,000 for the job, out of which he had already given him N5,000 to pay the balance on completion of the job,” Oyeyemi said.

According to the PPRO, police preliminary investigation revealed that Wasiu had been married to Bola Taiwo before they got separated

The said Wasiu later got married to another woman who, it was learnt, now lives with him.

However, the husband reunited with Taiwo, who later got pregnant.

To avoid the announcement of his new wife, Wasiu had requested Taiwo to abort the pregnancy, but the woman refused.

After he failed in his efforts to make the woman terminate the pregnancy, he decided to eliminate the woman and the pregnancy, said Oyeyemi.

“In his confessional statement, he stated that he had twice bought food for Taiwo from one eatery and laced the food with poison, but the lady by providence did not eat the food.

“It was when all his personal efforts to kill her failed that he contracted Adeniyi Samuel to help him eliminate her,” Oyeyemi quoted Wasiu to have written in a statement

Wasiu was said to have confessed further that he personally took his accomplice to Taiwo’s house, giving him her photo for easy identification.

“But when he didn’t carry out the assignment as agreed, he demanded the refund of the advance payment he made to him, and his refusal led to the fight which led to their arrest,” the police spokesman further explained.

The Commissioner of Police in Ogun, Lanre Bankole, has ordered a full-scale investigation of the case.

Bizarre 30 dead in migrant boat accidents in Greece

Greek coast guards scoured for survivors in the Aegean Sea on Saturday after the latest in a series of migrant boat accidents that have killed at least 30 people in just days.

Late Friday, the coastguard found 16 bodies, including those of three women and a baby, and rescued 63 people from a boat that overturned and sank near the island of Paros.

According to those rescued, around 80 people had been on the vessel.

Three coast guard patrol boats, private vessels, a coast guard plane, as well as divers, searched for more survivors, officials said.

The latest tragedy — the third since Wednesday — came amid high smuggler activity not seen in Greek waters in months.

Hours earlier, 11 bodies were recovered from another boat that ran aground on an islet north of the Greek island of Antikythera on Thursday evening.

Ninety people stranded on the islet were rescued, the coastguard said.

And on Wednesday, a dinghy carrying migrants capsized off the island of Folegandros, killing at least three people.

Thirteen people were rescued, while dozens remain missing, Greek authorities said.

Survivors gave conflicting accounts: Some said there had been 32 people on board, while others put the number around 50, a coast guard official told AFP.

The UN refugee agency UNHCR said the Folegandros accident could end up being the worst in the Aegean this year, as an unknown number of people still missing.

“This shipwreck is a painful reminder that people continue to embark on perilous voyages in search of safety,” said Adriano Silvestri, the UNHCR’s assistant representative in Greece.

Earlier Friday, the coastguard had intercepted another boat with 92 men and boys on board after it ran aground on the coast of the Peloponnese peninsula.

Three suspected smugglers who fled the boat on foot were later arrested.

The UNHCR estimates that more than 2,500 people have died or gone missing at sea as they tried to reach Europe from January through November this year.

Nearly one million people, mainly Syrian refugees, arrived in the European Union in 2015 after crossing the sea to the Greek islands close to Turkey.

“These days, the criminal activity of smugglers, who are indifferent to human life, has intensified, stacking dozens of distressed people, without life jackets, on boats that do not even meet the basic safety standards,” Giannis Plakiotakis, Maritime Affairs Minister said late Friday pointing the finger at Turkey, saying Ankara “lets smugglers act unchecked.”

Rivals Greece and Turkey regularly spar over the issue of migrants, with Athens accusing Ankara of turning a blind eye to people attempting to cross into EU member Greece and Turkey denying the charges.

Photo: Two Jets Collide High Above Southern Germany Causing the death of 71 persons

A Russian passenger airliner collided late Monday night with a Boeing 757 cargo plane over southern Germany, exploding in a fireball and killing all 71 people aboard the planes, the police said.

The Russian plane, a Tupolev Tu-154 operated by Bashkirian Airlines, and the Boeing 757, operated by the DHL courier network, crashed into each other at 11:43 p.m. over Baden-Württemberg State in southwest Germany, said Wolfgang Wenzel, a state police spokesman in Tübingen.

German officials at a news conference today said that air traffic controllers had told the Russian plane three times to lower its altitude to avoid a collision, but that there was no response. They said the Boeing had made efforts to avoid the accident.

The fireball from the collision lit up the night skies over one of Germany's favorite summer vacation spots, Lake Constance, on the border with Switzerland. There were no immediate reports of casualties on the ground.

Stanislav D. Borolof, the night supervisor at Domodedovo airport near Moscow, identified the Tupolev flight as Bashkirian Flight 2937, which left Moscow at 10:48 p.m. Monday bound for Barcelona, Spain. It was a charter flight carrying a crew of 12 and 57 passengers, 49 adults and 8 children, he said.

The Russian-built Tu-154 is a mainstay of aviation in the former Soviet Union. It is used on both domestic and international flights. More than 1,000 were built and most are still being flown, with just a few converted to freight use.

The Boeing, flown by a crew with the DHL delivery service, was carrying cargo from Bahrain to Brussels with two pilots. The plane had earlier stopped in Bergamo, in north Italy.

The Boeing was operated by a Deutsche Post freight unit, DHL Worldwide Express, Reuters reported, quoting a spokeswoman for German air traffic control.

In a statement to the news media, DHL said it would not speculate on the possible cause of the accident.

The planes were flying at about 39,000 feet over Lake Constance, and burning wreckage was strewn over a 20-mile area near Überlingen, 135 miles south of Frankfurt.

''I saw a flash of light so enormous that it lit up everything,'' Alfred Knoedler, a witness, told German television.

''This area is not too settled,'' Mr. Knoedler told the BBC in another interview. ''There are burning houses, burning forests close to the place where I am standing. There was the wheels and another part of the airplane crashed into the garden, but the people, a family with a little girl, survived.'' He said the remains of the DHL plane apparently crashed into Lake Constance.

''The sky became bright all of a sudden,'' said Klaus Barinka, 42, a ferry-boat captain on the lake. ''It looked as if the sky was on fire.''

Early this morning, police officers with dogs and infrared cameras were searching the area in the dark looking for survivors, the police said. The area around Überlingen is mostly agricultural, with patches of forest, with widely scattered towns and farmhouses.

Hundreds of rescue workers were on the scene, and the police said they were combing the area north of Überlingen with helicopters.

Dozens of people flooded police stations in the area with calls describing how they had seen a large ball of fire in the sky at the time of the crash, Mr. Wenzel said. Some told the police they had seen pieces of burning wreckage falling through the sky.

Eleven bodies have been found, the police said, adding that several houses, a school and a farm were on fire.

Collisions in the air between large aircraft are extremely rare, especially at high cruising altitudes.

Most aircraft carry transponders, devices that relay a plane's identification, altitude and speed to ground controllers. Controllers use this information to track aircraft and keep them a safe distance from each other.

In addition, equipment on many aircraft can read the transponder signals of nearby planes, painting an electronic map to show pilots the aircraft around them.

Many planes also carry collision avoidance equipment that can automatically pull the plane away from an impending collision, or sound an alarm and tell the pilot which way to turn to avoid a crash.

Transponders must be regularly calibrated and checked to make sure they are functioning properly.

Monday's crash was the eighth serious one this year.

In January, a Boeing 727 belonging to an Ecuadorean airline with 92 passengers and crew members crashed in Colombia, killing all on board.

In February, an Iran Air Tours Tu-154 crashed near Khorramabad; all 119 people aboard died.

In April an Air China Boeing 767 passenger aircraft traveling from Beijing to Pusan, South Korea, crashed into a mountain. Of the 166 on board, 38 survived.

There were four crashes in May -- in Nigeria, 148 people were killed; in Tunisia, 15 died; in the sea off Dalian, in northeast China, all 112 passengers and crew were killed; and a China Airlines Boeing 747-200 with 225 people on board crashed into the sea on a flight from Taiwan to Hong Kong.
